Pure Water Los Angeles

Danielle worked with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) on the Pure Water Los Angeles program. In partnership with the Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment (LASAN),  the Pure Water Los Angeles outreach program included a variety of in-person and virtual engagement events across the city including targeted outreach in underrepresented communities to educate the community on the Pure Water Los Angeles purified recycled water program including history of purified recycled water programs. Danielle worked closely with LADWP and LASAN communications and public affairs staff to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all project material and facilitated subcommittees composed of LADWP and LASAN staff for specialized outreach strategies including stakeholder meetings; community meetings; and website, messaging, and social media.

Catalina Water Pipeline Project

Danielle worked with Southern California Edison (SCE) to develop targeted strategies for proactive public engagement aligned with key milestones and activities for Catalina Water Pipeline Project (CWPP). The CWPP addresses issues associated with the island's aging water infrastructure. Danielle lead the outreach team in developing and implementing a variety strategies for engagement including community-specific outreach and activities to inform the stakeholders and community members within the Catalina Island service. Strategies included informational material, mailers, and in-person workshops conducted in coordination with SCE local and regional staff, and water quality subject matter experts.

Inclusive Public Engagement Guide

Danielle worked with the City of San Diego on the development of the Inclusive Public Engagement Guide. The Guide was developed to provide City staff, across all departments, with best practices for implementing inclusive public outreach and engagement to better serve the public, businesses, and organizations. The Guide built upon on existing public participation techniques being used by the City and standardized how these occur to promote consistency, transparency and inclusivity across City projects. The Guide was awarded the American Planning Association San Diego Chapter Merit Award in 2026.

3177 Ocean View Blvd. Housing Development

Danielle worked with the County of San Diego to design and implement an outreach program for the proposed affordable housing with a health center development 3177 Ocean View Boulevard. Outreach strategies included bilingual in-person and virtual informational meetings that served as an opportunity for community members to learn about the development including future health center facilities. A virtual industry day meeting was also conducted for affordable housing developers and healthcare providers to connect prior to the County releasing the development RFP.
